Sep 26, 2024 · I think this is simply because I have to assume FF has implemented the weather-radar in preparation of the true functionalities that should come soon, resulting in some limitatiins for now. Fo example I also noticed that I get a weather-response and only when using Tilt -2 or close to it, wheter I am climbimg or descending.

Jan 3, 2025 · The weather radar is very basic. You need to set the XP weather settings to Large cell thunder storms ( slider at max) You will also find info on page 32 of the manual.

Jun 19, 2021 · Sometime ago some users couldn't see the weather at Toliss. So I configured manually and set heavy rain with thunderstorms using Xplane native weather. It worked and the weather radar showed results. Try using SYS 1 or either SYS 2 on WX radar panel. Here is a link to other topic that was opened a while ago, here you may find some solutions:

Sep 28, 2020 · Currently using NOAA weather for live weather, X.P- E n h a n c e R v3.1 addon by pzorglub on the org works great with these addons, clouds look beautiful, real weather is downloaded frequently and much closer to real life than the default xplane11 live weather, and the script "SmoothWeather_plain.lua" seems to work flawlessly with this

Feb 14, 2025 · On a somewhat related note, XP real world weather seems to be off as of recently. I had it showing storms at LFPG last night when there was none reported in the area, as well as overcast from -541ft (!?) with ceilings @ 10,000ft at KMSP when METAR stated visibility was 10sm and broken clouds @ 8,000ft.

Mar 27, 2025 · The problem comes not from the weather. I've tested it more times. In all cases I have used the ATC-Pushback. Between 10 minutes and 2 hours later comes the CTD. Without using the ATC-Pushback all works well.

Mar 21, 2025 · The most likely reason is that the polygons in your scenery package are not square, as is the case with most sceneries. These are skipped by the script because the weather map of the script is square. 🙂 I hope I've helped you with that small tool, leave a comment/review and report Problems + ask Questions.

Works great for those days when x-plane isn't showing any snow/rain/ice, but you clearly see it on the ground. What's This All About? X-Plane grabs current METAR and injects it into the sim.
